Tim Yovankin (he/him), MD

Dr. Yovankin is a co-founder and Medical Director of Greywood Health Center. He is a board-certified pediatric psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of mood, anxiety, and behavioral conditions in adolescents and young adults. 

Dr. Yovankin attended Chicago Medical School and completed his residency and fellowship training at the University of Illinois – Chicago, where he was named Chief Fellow. He also underwent training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute. 

Prior to starting Greywood, Dr. Yovankin has held inpatient, PHP / IOP, and outpatient positions in academic and private institutions in the Chicago metropolitan and surrounding areas.

Having a deep interest in expressive therapies and mindfulness, Dr. Yovankin has studied in meditation centers of Zen, Tibetan, and Vipassana traditions as well as with a community devoted to the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh. He is a member of and former UIC representative to the Illinois Psychiatric Society, and he continues to stay close to academia as a lecturer at the University of Illinois – Chicago and Rush University Medical Center.
